Hotel Vaduzerhof by b_smart

We absolutely loved staying here. The location and complimentary sauna were definite pros. Self check-in was a downside, though we managed it fine. P.S. There's an Indian restaurant. Overnight guests can get free public transport with a local pass, and the hotel should share that information before arrival.

The hotel itself is perfectly fine and well located. But major roadworks were happening right outside the bedroom windows from dawn to dusk, and nobody warned travelers. At these room rates, that's pretty shameful. I wouldn't have booked if I'd known. Since the hotel is basically staffless, there was nobody there to sort it out.

It's in a great location, but construction starting at 7am every day made it really hard to sleep. The hotel has no staff on site, though there's a phone number you can call and someone answers. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were horrible. Breakfast was good, and having a coffee machine and fruit available was nice. The hotel relies heavily on technology, yet there were no USB ports for charging devices and staff couldn't help supply one. The room was too hot, so I had to sleep with the window open on nights when the temperature was in the single digits.

The view from my window was spectacular, and the twin room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful marble en-suite bathroom. I liked being able to dim the lights with the smart lighting, and there were over 200 TV channels in several languages. The whole place has a modern, tech-savvy feel. Check-in and check-out were automated and very efficient. Activating the room card through the digital system was a clever touch that made getting to my room quick and easy. Fantastic hotel. I could easily have stayed a few more nights to explore the local hiking trails, and I'd recommend it to others.
