The family-run feel, peaceful grounds, and lovely hosts made Holiday Inn Midigama feel like home during the three months I stayed. Hansi, her family, and the staff were incredibly hospitable, and they worked hard to keep everything immaculate. The sand garden, plants, and stone architecture give the place a cool, tranquil feel, with peacocks and monkeys around the property. I tried most of the rooms, and all were clean, spacious, and comfortable, with high ceilings and comfy beds. Each had its own character, and the relaxed atmosphere works well for families too. There's a small kitchen, breakfast you can order the night before, and a handy surfboard rack. Five friends visited me and stayed here as well, and they all loved it. I kept seeing familiar faces come back, which says a lot. I can definitely recommend it and will return. All the best to Hansi and the family with the extension development.

I spent two days here in the low season and really liked it. The modern, elegant room and design suited the peaceful atmosphere, and the bed was very comfortable. The host was incredibly helpful with everything I needed. I'd definitely recommend the place!

This was my second visit with my partner, and we both had a great time. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and dinner, and liked being able to see the food prepared in the open kitchen. The room was comfortable, with air conditioning and a hot shower, and everything was clean and well looked after. WiFi was fast, which is handy if you're working while travelling. The helpful team can arrange taxis, tours, laundry, and bike rentals. We really enjoy coming here and would happily return. Highly recommended!

The owners were lovely and very helpful, including arranging good transport for our onward journey. The communal area was great for hanging out, and the place was kept spotless with regular sweeping and mopping. Our booked deluxe room had a blocked toilet, so they moved us to a simpler room. It was clean, had good air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed. Basic, but all we needed. We did find a few bugs inside, though that's probably to be expected in the tropics. It's a five-minute walk to the beach, quiet at night, and felt very safe. There are good meal options close by, and breakfast can be delivered if ordered the day before. WiFi was good. Bring mosquito repellent for the evenings.

We loved our four-night stay. The garden felt like a little paradise, tucked away from the street, though anything you need is just a short walk away. Our family room was well equipped and a relaxing place to return to after the beach. The host was easy to communicate with and suggested lots of activities. They arranged a tuk tuk driver to take us to beginner surf waves, and encouraged us to catch the train for sunset, which became a highlight of the trip. Good value for money, too. The bathroom drained well, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. We'll be back!
