The Benison Restaurant was a real highlight, with an elegant but relaxed feel and lovely care from the team. I’m not usually into Sri Lankan food, but the curry was so good I forgot to take a photo. The two girls serving us were warm and smiling, and the food was amazing. There’s wildlife all around, from friendly monkeys and squirrels to peacocks wandering freely among the huge trees and plants. Our room was beautiful, clean, and had an outdoor shower. The two young men responsible for cleaning were kind and did a great job. It really feels like jungle and comfort come together here, with no need to visit Yala Park when the wildlife is right in the backyard. The owner was fantastic and kept checking that we were happy and comfortable. He helped with even the little things and went above and beyond. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back!

We felt comfortable the whole time and really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, the food was delicious, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well cared for. From our arrival onward, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. Thanks for the hospitality and excellent service. We’d happily visit again and highly recommend the hotel. ❤️❤️❤️

We were greeted with cold towels when we arrived, a thoughtful touch after the journey. The falafel was a particular favorite, and all the food was fantastic. The property itself is peaceful, beautiful, and well maintained, with a lot of care in its design. Dulanjalee, the manager, made everything easy and stress-free. She helped us throughout our stay, gave us good local recommendations, and arranged a scooter rental. Thanks to the whole team for making our time at Benison Ahangama so memorable. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Ahangama.

A lovely little find in Ahangama. We only booked two nights and wished we could stay longer. The room was great, with lots of wildlife around the swimming pool. We had breakfast and lunch at the restaurant twice, and the food was brilliant. Staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

We’ve come back a couple of times for brunch, and it’s been really good each time. The service was impeccable, from the warm welcome onward. It’s a great spot to get coffee or fresh cold juice and unwind, away from busy Ahangama town but only a five-minute drive away. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
