We planned a short visit but loved it so much that we stayed nearly three weeks. Daya was a fantastic host and helped us with a lot; his breakfasts were great too. The cottage is spotless and nicely decorated, and the beach and local restaurants are only a short walk away.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The owner is very controlling, and I felt watched wherever I went. He checks the rooms while you're at the beach, and even keeps track of how many times you've boiled the kettle. There are limits on everything, and the internet is extremely slow. He also seems very greedy.

The host was friendly, knew the area well, and was great to talk to. The room was spacious and the location couldn't have been better. WiFi worked well, and bicycles were available to rent for free.

I've known Dayarathna for a long time and can happily recommend a stay with him. He's friendly, helpful, and open-minded, and he's also a very good electrician. His house is practical and clean, with a garden he's lovingly put together himself, mostly by hand. He's always thinking up new ideas for it. The breakfast is very good, and the home-cooked local food he likes to share is both tasty and healthy.
