Goalma Family Holiday Resort & Restaurant

We slept really, really well at Goalma. The rooms are simple, but perfectly clean and comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Anil works incredibly hard to look after his guests and goes out of his way to help you have a great time and get wherever you need to go. He’s a genuinely lovely guy. You can book direct through the Goalma website instead of booking and other sites. We had a special stay and highly recommend them.

The family arranged everything we wanted to do, including visits to so many beautiful temples. They can also set up taxis and tuk-tuks at a very good price. The rooms were clean and the bed was really comfortable. The family bent over backwards to give us such nice service. A lovely stay at Goalma Family Holiday, with five-star service.

The garden was stunning, and breakfast was wonderful. Our room was tidy and very clean, and the location worked perfectly for us. Mr. Anil replied quickly and was very accommodating with our requests. Great value for the money, highly recommended!

Anil went with me to the hospital three times when I needed a rabies booster after a monkey scratched me quite badly at Minhitale. He helped me navigate the chaos of a Sri Lankan government hospital, the only place with vaccines, and it would have been a real challenge without him. Thanks again, Anil! He’s a friendly, respectful host who wants the best for his guests, shares information about the sights, and can arrange a tour of Wilpattu-park or around the city if you want one. His family place is a real recommendation. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast and dinner were tasty. Great service all round. One tip about Minhitale: don’t eat a sandwich there, they’ll charge you immediately and try to steal it.
