We had a great time on the private safari Sampath arranged for the two of us. We saw all sorts of animals and had lots of fun. There wasn't a guide riding in the back with us, but Sampath and the driver were skilled at spotting wildlife from the car. Sampath also sorted breakfast, lunch, fruit, snacks, and cold drinks for the outing. Afterwards, he arranged a bus to Anuradhapura at the local fare. At the start of our stay, Sampath’s lovely wife had prepared a great lunch to welcome us, and they were both easy to chat with. The grounds are beautiful, with a lake nearby. The hotel is very basic, and the bathroom can be challenging, so you need to be okay with a real outdoor experience. Sampath surprised us by giving us new trousers as a gift. We loved staying with him and will always remember him!

Sampath arranged a safari for us, and Ajanta cooked delicious food. They were both so welcoming, and the atmosphere was lovely. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

Hidden Jungle Village made a memorable base for exploring Wilpattu National Park. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the natural setting gave the place a peaceful jungle feel. A quiet getaway surrounded by nature.

Sampath and his family made us feel so welcome, and gave us a real sense of Christmas from a Buddhist point of view. The food was excellent and the service was second to none. It's a wonderful, atmospheric place to explore Wilpattu from. It really is hidden, especially if you're getting there under your own steam. We came by bicycle, but local people helped us find it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
