Jaye Eco Lodge

Jay Eco Lodge sits in a lovely garden, and the rooms are comfortable and have AC. The hosts were so nice and helpful. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. If you're going to Habarana, you can't go wrong here.

The garden and surrounding area were lovely and peaceful, a great place to relax undisturbed. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Our host was kind and helpful, and his parents were especially welcoming. They made a delicious breakfast with plenty of choices and even got us a mosquito vaporizer. It’s a little far from the city center, but tuk-tuks and scooter rentals are easy to find. A calm place to stay.

The food was really tasty, and the staff were very helpful, including with arranging a safari or a tuk-tuk to get around. The location is lovely, and the rooms are clean and nice. I'd come back 🤩

We came for three nights and ended up staying five. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds, AC, a ceiling fan, warm water for power showers, and stable Wifi. Nights were quiet and we slept well. Early mornings brought lots of birds to the garden, a real bonus for bird lovers. Sujeewa and Sachintha, the two brothers who run this family-owned lodge, were cheerful, chatty, and attentive. Within minutes of arriving, they took us to a great lunch spot and arranged a scooter for us. They made juice from the fruit we bought, served generous breakfasts with different Sri Lankan dishes, and offered authentic homemade curries from their mum Sriyani. The lodge is outside central Habarana, so a scooter or push bike is handy, though the brothers can take you to town in their tuk-tuk. The family's genuine hospitality made a big difference, and we highly recommend the place for its quiet setting, comfort, and convenience.
