Pinnacle Villa

I've stayed at this hotel several times, but a recent booking problem caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience. On 27/12/2025, I messaged on WhatsApp in the morning to ask if rooms were available, but the message wasn't seen. In the evening, just before leaving Colombo, I called and was told there were rooms. I said I was a regular guest and had already requested one by WhatsApp. Since I was driving, I couldn't easily transfer the advance right then, so I asked if that was a problem. They clearly said it was fine and they'd keep a room ready. I arrived between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM, only to be told there were no rooms because the person in charge had forgotten. As it was a weekend, finding another hotel in Anuradhapura took a long time. The staff's poor communication and lack of responsibility left me very disappointed. I'm sharing this so other travelers know to double-check before setting off and don't face the same thing.

The kitchen was filthy and smelled bad. The rooms and bathrooms weren't clean either, and the bathroom doors were broken.

The food was the main problem for me. The chef was already drunk before we got there, and an omelette took two hours. I ordered devilled chicken but got greasy, stir-fried chicken pieces instead. I'd bring food from outside and use this hotel just to sleep. It may work if all you're after is a bed, but don't expect standard service. Keep expectations low and you'll still leave disappointed.

The location is good, but the place is poorly maintained. I got a family room, and both it and the bathroom were dirty and smelled bad. The shower handle was broken, which made it hard to use.
