Cafe Ceylon

The owner’s positive energy and fascinating life story made a real impression on us, and we’d gladly come back. We stayed in the Villa from 15 to 29 January 2026, which worked well for a group: there are several rooms plus a shared space reserved for Villa guests. The beds and bathroom fixtures were good quality. The rooms are on the small side, though, so picture the Greek islands about ten years ago. The restaurant and cafe were also very high quality, and the location was amazing.

The pool was the big highlight for me: large, spotless, and well cared for. It’s a peaceful, comfortable place that works for families, whether you’re trying to get work done or just relax. The food was delicious, and projector movie nights made the evenings feel special. The owner is lovely too, kind and welcoming, and a pleasure to chat with. This is my favorite place, and I’d recommend it.

We went for the latest market day and had such a good time that we stayed longer than planned. Café Ceylon had a lively but easygoing feel, and the crowd was joyful. Our four-year-old loved the kids’ activities, face painting, and splashing in the pool, and happily ate the food without a single complaint. Daddy was just as happy. It’s a great setup for families, with room for kids to have fun while adults relax. We’ll be back for the next market day.

The food was fresh and really tasty. We ordered a few pizzas, salad, a burger, a prawns bowl, and sandwiches, and enjoyed it all. Service was a little slow, but the servers were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. This was our second visit, and we like the place.
