We went to the resort last week and were very disappointed. Before paying the deposit, we called the owner to check that a room was available. He said there was only one. We paid the advance and told them by phone, then sent our details as requested. But when we arrived, they gave us a different story: apparently we had no booking, and another woman had reserved that room, even though we had already paid the deposit. We had the phone calls, bank payment history, and all the details. They then said, “Ah, you have to send the slip to the owner, that's the problem 😡.” He hadn’t asked us for any slip before. We waited a long time while they checked the booking. Once we showed them everything, they gave us a room, but it wasn’t maintained properly. The rooms and bathrooms were unclean, the sheets were dirty, some doors and windows were broken, and the air conditioners didn’t work properly. We don’t recommend this resort to anyone.

I was told I’d get Rs. 4,000 back, but no refund ever came. After several attempts to contact them, both my number and my husband’s were blocked, and calls were ignored. The communication was awful, and they didn’t keep their promise. I felt ignored and cheated, and wouldn’t recommend this place. I had booked Nature Resort Pilgrims Rest And Holiday Inn, Anuradhapura, on September 23rd for an October 5th stay. My husband’s leave was suddenly cancelled, so I asked Mr. B.J. Basnayake, who may be the owner, to cancel that same day. I let him know well in advance, but got no clear response. I was promised a partial refund. For a place that claims to offer reliable service, this was frustrating. Their refund policy wasn’t followed, and the management came across as unprofessional and disrespectful of customers and their commitments.

I paid 2000 in advance on 11th Nov for an A/C room, but they didn’t provide one. Instead, the management at nature resory pilgrims resort sent me to another hotel, onara family resort anuradapura, which was in very poor and completely unsatisfactory condition. nature resory pilgrims resort was responsible for this.

Friendly service, and there were no mosquitoes. It’s about five minutes from Anuradhapura railway station and maha viharaya. You can book by phone, and they accept online payments. A very good place to stay in anuradhapura.
