The hosts were great, and the view through those lovely wooden French doors made the stay worthwhile. The room was a bit dirty and needs some work. The bed felt lumpy and springy, though we've slept on worse.

The view was stunning, and the curry was the best. It's not a three-star hotel, but you get to meet a wonderful Sri Lankan family. Our host was unbelievably friendly, and we couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we got lots of tips for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

A calm, quiet spot with superb scenery, and the mist can make it feel especially magical. It's a lovely place to have hot chocolate in the cool breeze. The owner is friendly, there's food available, and there's enough room to park and relax.

A small tea shop in a beautiful spot on Haputhale Balangoda Rd, about 3 km from Haputhale town toward Balangoda. There are guest houses and hotels at the same place too.
