The family took lovely care of us and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Our room was large, had a sea view and air conditioning, plus a big bathroom with hot water and a spacious terrace. The ocean is seconds away, though you need to walk two minutes to swim. There are tables just a few metres from the ocean where you can have dinner or a drink while watching a fantastic sunset. If I’m back in Beruwala, I’d definitely stay here again.

Nishal was a great host, helping with everything from carrying our bags on arrival to arranging a tuk-tuk driver for a day tour. His mother cooked delicious local and international dishes, and his father ran around to get fresh fish and whatever else the house needed. We had a great stay at Panorama and recommend it to anyone travelling to or through Beruwala. This family-run place gives you an authentic Sri Lankan experience, with local food, beer on the beach, and tuk-tuk tours. Ask for a sea-view room with AC, and take a tuk-tuk around the area.
