Great location, and the rooms were clean and comfortable with good running water. Breakfast let the place down. It was pre-plated, with eggs, bread, fruit, and sausages, but nobody asked how I wanted my eggs or checked that I was vegetarian. If they had asked, they wouldn't have served me sausages. With breakfast better organized, this would have been a total hit.

Waking up to a peacock on the balcony was magical, and the courtyard breakfast each morning was brilliant. The hotel is beautiful, with old Dutch architectural details, and sits in a great spot right in the Fort. Thashma gave incredible care. I felt poorly one morning and missed breakfast, so Thashma, the receptionist, checked with my partner, then came to my room to see how I was and offer tea, coffee, and water. She asked if I needed anything and was absolutely lovely. We loved our stay and will happily come back.

The courteous staff made us feel right at home in this peaceful heritage bungalow. It's clean and comfortable, and has been beautifully preserved. Tucked into the heart of Galle Fort, it’s a charming place for an authentic stay. Don't miss the good breakfast, a perfect way to start the day. Highly recommended.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and breakfast was delicious. We had a lovely stay and would happily return. Inside the fortified city walls, the location is wonderful, and the room was comfortable with good air conditioning. The bathroom supplies were a little limited, and there was no safe in the room, but neither was an issue for us. The sheets and towels looked worn and had a few stains, so they could use replacing.

We stayed just one night, and breakfast was quick and great. The room was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly in a great location. It has an old-style skeleton key, and there are gaps around the door and window where bugs could get in. There was a mosquito net, though, so it wasn't a problem.
