Paradise Bay

We paid for two sun loungers at Paradise Bay Hotel’s beach, and what should have been a relaxing few hours turned into a very poor experience. Before we sat down, I asked a staff member the price. He said 1,500 rupees for both loungers, which I checked with him several times. I gave him 5,000 rupees, but he handed it back and said we could pay later when his manager arrived. After about three hours on the beach, we went to settle up. The manager then asked for 3,000 rupees, saying the price was 1,500 per lounger. I explained what had happened that morning. He kept asking “which guy?” as if he didn’t know, but when I reminded him about the 5,000 rupees and being told to pay later, he said, “that’s because I had no change.” It seemed clear to me that he knew about the arrangement. It felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead and overcharge tourists. The way it was handled was disappointing, left a bad impression, and ruined our beach visit. I’d strongly suggest avoiding this place. The experience felt dishonest and poorly managed.
