Riverdale Hotel

They charged rates like a 4-5 star hotel but delivered cheap service, and they ruined my wedding function. The villas were supposed to have AC rooms, but not a single villa had working AC, so we had to find fans ourselves. Our guests waited an hour without the bites or drinks we had provided, even though the staff only had to serve them. The acting manager kept making excuses for his own mistakes instead of fixing anything. Even the flowers they arranged were covered in dust. It was ridiculous.

We took a river trip inland from the hotel pier and got to enjoy beautiful, unspoilt nature. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable, and the restaurant is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a great-value spot for a few relaxing days, especially if you want a quiet, comfortable stay. There’s no disco, live music, local dance show, or other entertainment.

The rooms were very spacious, with private pools, TV, and a fridge, and I liked the interior design. We had a good time with friends, and the setting around the river was superb. Our function was a complete mess, and I would not recommend this hotel for events or anything else. The staff weren’t friendly and didn’t know how to speak to guests. They couldn’t manage a function with 300 people: only 100 regular plates were prepared, and the rest of the guests were given salad plates. Food wasn’t refilled properly, leaving people waiting in long queues for both the main meal and dessert. The AC machines also weren’t working properly, and everyone was sweating badly. The most frustrating part was that management wouldn’t acknowledge these serious problems. They only said they were very sorry after the whole function had been ruined.
