After a scooter accident before I arrived, I had wounds on my knees, and the team took time throughout my stay to care for me and change my bandages. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and friendly. The hostel itself is pleasant, clean, and spacious, and the kitchen is very good too. I recommend Bunky Monkey Hostel 100%!

I stayed in a dorm, but the room was so big, clean, and comfortable that it didn’t feel like I was sharing with anyone. I came to Colombo to apply for an Indian Visa, and the visa center is about a 20-minute walk away. The staff were really friendly and hospitable. When I asked questions, they answered clearly and directly, which I liked. Thank you for your kindness. Greetings from Japan.

Good prices, friendly staff, and a nice area. The hostel has comfortable beds, air conditioning everywhere, a fridge and kettle, and a rooftop terrace with a sea view. The cinema, malls, and everything else you might need are within walking distance.

I’d heard of the quirky-named “bunky monkey” hostel before, but didn’t know its location. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The rooftop is its best feature, with views over both the busy city and the ocean. Definitely stop by.

I love it here and would happily stay longer. The people working here are nice, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the beds are really cosy. I couldn’t sleep for the last two nights at another hostel, so this has been a relief. You need code numbers for the front door and your room door, which made me feel really safe. After checking out, I could leave my luggage in the dorm as long as I wanted while I took care of some things until lunchtime. One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you!
