Tastefully decorated, bright and airy, with seven rooms including some upstairs. The food was excellent and service just as good. I got to see one of the rooms, simple but elegantly designed. The bathroom was clean and well maintained, with a toilet, sink, shower and bath tub, and it had an elegant, classy design too. Upstairs, the second floor opens onto a beautiful large shady balcony/terrace.

The calm, peaceful feel was such a welcome break in a busy, crowded town. They greeted us warmly and even offered a welcome drink, which you don't usually get at a small guest house. I also loved the interior design, and everywhere was clean and neat. I'd like to visit again.

The hotel is in a classy part of the capital, close to lots of places, including the National museum. Our room was huge, elegant, comfortable, and quiet, with a really comfortable bed. The bathroom shower was on another level, and the staff were friendly and nice. I've never stayed in a hotel with a room like this. Highly recommend it for a short trip or business visit to Colombo.

The staff were so friendly and attentive whenever we needed anything, and the food was really tasty. There’s also dining and room service available. Ellens Place is tucked away on a small side road in busy Colombo, so it’s calm and quiet, with a little pool near the dining area. The rooms are nicely laid out, the beds are comfy, and tea and coffee are provided.

We had an excellent dinner cooked for us at 1500 per person, and there were nice little extras like water in the room. The accommodation is right in central Colombo but tucked away from the main road bustle, and it was easy to get to. I'd definitely come back.
