I came across Garden Guest House on Airbnb and liked it right away, so I booked without looking at other places to stay in Colombo. There are lots of interesting spots nearby, including a shopping arcade, well-known restaurants and some historic temples. The owner was thoughtful, friendly and helpful. He and his mother run the place together, and they always treated us like family. Breakfast was fantastic and generous. It was well worth the money, and I really enjoyed my stay. I’d recommend Garden Guest House to anyone visiting Colombo. ;)
