A good base for exploring Colombo, with Mount Lavinia and Galle Face both roughly the same distance away. The house is about 300 m from the sea in Wellawatte, though swimming isn’t possible there. It’s modern, clean, and well kept, behind a secure gated driveway with a small garden. There are three levels and steep stairs, so it suits people with young legs; there’s no lift. The owner runs the place with a very helpful male staff member available 24/7. We used the Mirage Hotel, 250 m away, for its buffet breakfast at 2,900 SLR per person. It also has dinner and pool access for a fee. If you want meals on site, I’d recommend Mirage. Thanks to Nawab for giving us a lift, and to his lovely staff member for helping with the bags at 5am.

Even though we checked in very late after a long day of travel, the owner was still up and kindly helped us, which we appreciated. We stayed at Vivid Colombo for two nights. The room was clean, comfortable, and suited a short visit well. Service was warm and attentive throughout, and I’d happily come back.

The owner and his family were so kind and helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We spent over a week at Vivid Colombo and would happily recommend it. Everything was clean, nicely decorated, and well maintained. Although it’s very close to a main road, the neighborhood is remarkably quiet, so we slept peacefully.

The owner’s friendliness made us feel welcome, almost like we were staying with a good friend. The property is very clean, well cared for, and high quality, so the stay was comfortable from the start. I’d recommend Vivid Colombo to anyone after a clean, comfortable, reliable place in Colombo.
