Arika Dambulla Villa

A really calm place if you want to enjoy being close to nature. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, and they provided a comfortable cot that was safe for babies. The surroundings were peaceful, the food was good, and the staff were friendly. Excellent stay.

Chef Dinesh made us delicious vegetarian dishes, and the whole staff were sweet and helpful. We had a fantastic honeymoon at Arika, with spacious, luxurious rooms and a beautiful resort setting among nature, overlooking a small stream. Just right for a quiet luxury getaway. Everything was 10/10!

The staff were fantastic, personable, and accommodating. Our toddler got lots of attention and some free babysitting 🤭, and no request seemed too much. Once we insisted on Sri Lankan food, the meals were excellent. We stayed four nights in February and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was one of our most memorable stays, even if it wasn't the most luxurious. The hotel isn't five-star quality at the moment. The building and furniture are quite run down and could use an upgrade. A fresh juice instead of sugary orange squash as the welcome drink, new furniture especially outdoors, and a new lick of paint would help.

We booked the whole property for one night, and it turned out to be one of my best experiences so far. The manager was flexible with our needs and extremely helpful, making sure the stay went exceptionally well. Rooms were spotless, very spacious, and comfortable, and the location was superb. The food was delicious, and the chef was friendly and provided excellent service. Nothing went wrong, and everything exceeded expectations. I'd definitely recommend this property for a great stay.
