The owner takes time to chat with guests, and he’s interesting to talk to. He’s clearly committed to good service and hospitality. The breakfast was high quality and really good. There’s also a nice restaurant and terrace, plus a lovely garden and a warmhearted team. It’s in a quiet area, about a 5-minute walk downtown, a 7-minute drive to the cave temple, and 30 minutes to Sigyria. We’ve stayed twice already and will see you soon for a third visit. The setting has amazing nature around it, and I had a great two-night stay. Breakfast was different on each of the two mornings, with a full plate of fruit and plenty of whichever fruit you liked. The room was clean and looked new. The host told me it was 15 years old and had been well maintained. He made sure I had what I needed, helped me find the right buses, and sorted out transport at local prices. There’s so much good to say about this place.

We were there for Christmas, and the hotel made being away from home feel a little easier. They brought out a special Christmas cake and a Western roast chicken dinner, then invited about 10 guests to the restaurant to light candles on the cake while Christmas music played. The staff were excellent, always smiling and willing to go the extra mile. The manager and operator speaks excellent English. Our rooms were very clean and well put together, and the restaurant was very good. I’d recommend having dinner there at least once. It was a last-minute booking, but it turned out to be the best lodging choice of our Sri Lanka trip. The location is right by town, yet a few minutes off the main road, and with only a handful of rooms it feels small. The hotel also did a nice job arranging transport and activities. We booked rides around town, to nearby towns and later to Kandy, along with a Jeep safari. The price felt very reasonable for the quality, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone in the area.

A cozy place in dambulla, with a polite, good host. You can book it through booking. com. There are k north rooms with and without AC, and the AC rooms are quite spacious. The terrace is lovely, and you can hear peacocks. Breakfast is healthy and filling, even for vegetarians, with a good fruit platter, curd and buttered toast. Driver accommodation is available too. Not water and complimentary toiletries were provided. It seems like a good place for a longer stay.
