The owners’ rice and curry was delicious, and they explained which vegetables went into the dishes, which we appreciated. There was far too much food for two people, though. It sat quite heavily, but that’s rice and curry for you. I wouldn’t bother with anything else they serve, as it wasn’t worth it.

The dhal was the best part of my meal, really good stuff. Rice and curry is the main dish here, but at 800 Rs per person I found it pretty underwhelming. Sure, prices are higher in a tourist area, but the staff seemed rather lackadaisical about making the experience a good one.

We really enjoyed our two nights at Saman's guesthouse. The guesthouse and rooms are beautiful, and our hosts were warm and generous. The rice and curry was very good too.

I only ate at the restaurant, didn’t stay in the guest house. The rice and curry was really good and worth trying! The decor is simple, so don’t expect anything fancy. It’s overpriced compared with local restaurants, but the food tasted great. :)

The owner is a friendly older man who takes a lot of pride in the dishes on his menu. We had a simple chicken fried rice for lunch and enjoyed it.
