Seacoast Sanctuary Beach Hotel

The manager, Amila, gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The caretakers, Lalith and Ranasinghe uncle, were wonderful to chat with and made sure we were safe throughout our stay. The staff were amazing. Seacoast Sanctuary faces the beach, so you can hear the lovely crashing waves. There are also plenty of little shops to peek into just outside the hotel. If you’re going to the horse shoe beach in hiriketiya, definitely consider staying here. I’ll be back for another staycation!

The rooftop was a real highlight. We saw 13 shooting stars up there, which felt surreal, and the hotel also has a lawn. Amila, the manager, was humble, friendly, and great to deal with. We stayed one day with a couple of friends. It’s about 20-30 meters from the beach, and the room was clean, with comfortable bedding, strong air conditioning, and a moderately sized bathroom with good fittings and plenty of hot water. Young king coconuts as a welcome drink were a nice touch. Breakfast wasn’t bad, but could be better: two eggs made how you like, two small frankfurters or hot dog sausages, three slightly damp slices of toast, jam, and real butter. Better sausages and toast, maybe with some fruit, would help. The fresh mango juice was refreshing, and I appreciated getting real butter instead of cheap margarine. They could also dry clean the room curtains, wash the rooftop outdoor furniture, and take better care of the facility, which is truly a gem. A mini refrigerator and a small safe for valuables would be useful too. Great beach access, cozy bedding, and a nice rooftop.

This was our second stay, and we enjoyed it just as much. The rooms are new, with air conditioning and hot showers, and breakfast is plentiful and served whenever you want it. The staff are professional, friendly, funny, and take care of what you need. The beach is a 30-second walk away. Five out of five!

The manager was very helpful and attentive to guests. Our clean room had powerful air conditioning and a balcony with direct access to the garden, restaurant, and beach, which is 30 meters away. We stayed two nights, a perfect little break for surfing at Hiriketiya beach spot. We also had a massage at a small house near the hostel, connected with the hotel services. One of the most powerful massages of our lives 😅💆‍♀️. I strongly recommend this place for a few quiet days of surfing!
