The host went out of his way to help us when our van was struggling uphill. He came to meet us, carried our luggage to the accommodation, and even arranged parking at a relative's place down the road. The rooms and bathroom were very spacious and clean, and the views were amazing. It's a short walk to Ella town, yet quiet enough for a good night's sleep. We'd highly recommend staying here.

You might get one of the best views in Ella here. It's amazing, especially from an upstairs room. The hosts are great and can arrange a tuk tuk pickup from the train station. Breakfast is good value and local, with fruit, eggs, coffee, tea and a toasted sandwich. Each room has a fridge, kettle and fans. Since the place is above town, it stays quiet and doesn't need air conditioning. It's about a five-minute walk to town along the railway, and the route to Ella's rock starts there too. Allow around 90 minutes to reach the top for sunrise.

Buddi was a great host, and booking was easy. The rooms are large, with really comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, and they were flexible when we needed to change the time. We even had monkeys join us for breakfast. Great value for money.

The owners greeted us with tea, and the location is handy for both the centre and train station. Our room had a big bathroom and a lovely view, and breakfast was delicious, with different things to try on both mornings. Laundry is available too, which we appreciated. The place is surrounded by nature, so birds can get loud in the morning if you're a light sleeper. I liked the sound, though, it made me feel like I was staying in a tree house.
