I stayed one night on my own. The room was basic but clean, and the staff were welcoming and very attentive. I’d left my charger behind, and they helped me get a new one from a store. The ocean view is incredible, with direct access to the private beach, and it’s quiet and peaceful. Food was good, cooked fresh to order, with nice portions and presentation.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The shower had no water, there was no tea or coffee facility, the fridge/freezer didn’t work, and the towels were dirty. Food and drinks were overpriced, so we ate around the corner instead, where the service was friendlier and the prices made sense. In my honest opinion, this place is below average. Sorry.

Dinner at Hotel Coconut Bay was a delight during our trip to Sri Lanka. The beachfront setting was serene and made for a relaxing evening, and the swimming pool looked inviting. Our room was comfortable and well maintained. Best of all, every dish tasted amazing and was beautifully presented. Highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway and a great meal.

We had a very nice lunch and drinks at Hotel Coconut Bay, sitting near the shore with a lovely sea breeze. The beachside location is great, and there’s a nice range of Chinese dishes. We especially enjoyed the fried fish, deviled calamari, and chicken noodles. A relaxing spot for a good meal.

We had one of the best weeks we’ve ever experienced after taking the chance to arrange a trip with the owner’s driver. The owner is local and has connections all over the country, so you can go anywhere, anytime you want, with good treatment unlike tourists doing it all on their own. The service is good, the people are nice, and it’s a very cultural hotel where you can really see what Sri Lanka is. I’ll tell you, a holiday in Sri Lanka isn’t complete before you visit Coconut Bay hotel.
