Dream view

We got the best WiFi of our whole trip here, and it was an easy walk down to nine arch bridge. Our host was so friendly and accommodating, and the breakfasts were 10/10. The room was simple, but that incredible view more than made up for it. We had just what we needed at dream view, on a quiet street only a few minutes from the bustle of Ella's main streets.

We could walk to and from Ella in under ten minutes each way, and the home stay is an easy walk from the start of the Little Adam’s Peak trailhead. The view and breakfast were tied for our favourites. Sitting on the verandah with delicious tea and those magnificent views of Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak was a treat at any time of day, and we never tired of it. Danuka has a tuk tuk with reasonably priced fares. His wife made generous, delicious breakfasts that we looked forward to the night before, hehe. There are 44 steps from the road down to the homestay, according to my husband, though it wasn't a problem for us as reasonably fit people who could carry our own bags. Danuka also helped with them. There are leeches in the Ella area, and unfortunately this homestay isn't immune. Check your shoes and clothes before going into the room. They're horrible little suckers to deal with, so be careful!

The host was very kind and accommodating, and both the breakfast and the views were excellent.

We were just passing through Ella and hadn't settled on a place to stay, so finding Dream View was a nice surprise. The hidden spot is tucked under the cottages, away from outside eyes. Inside, we had two big beds, comfy blankets, a fridge, a kettle, a hot water shower, and breakfast. And of course, the view.
