The bedsheets weren’t clean, with hairs and other things on them, and the fridge was dirty too. The AC didn’t work. There was a horrible smell in the room and mold spots all over the ceilings in both the room and bathroom. We tried to cancel, but the owner wouldn’t let us and said it would be bad for business. A room full of mold seems bad for business to me, but what do I know.

That view was the one good part of our stay. The room was filthy, full of insects, and the stained sheets smelled awful. We asked the owner to deal with all the bugs and spiders on the floor. She swept quickly, then left the insects there. We also ended up with bed bugs. Photo evidence attached. A terrible experience, and I wouldn’t come back.

Our reserved room had been given to other people, and we were offered a small room for one day. The place was under construction, the climb up to the hotel was very steep, and the photos didn’t match. This felt like racial profiling. I’d rather sleep on the street.

The room was dirty and smelled really bad, and there were bed bugs in the bed. The water was cold and the pressure was weak. It also looked quite different from what we booked. When we raised that with the person who welcomed us, they became unpleasant and didn’t seem to care.

Our hosts even arranged rides and a trip to Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine arches bridge, and offered us tasty tea and snacks. They were wonderful. The room was spacious, the views over Ella were great, and the price was very affordable. It’s a short walk into town. We were really grateful for a lovely stay.
