Ella Nature View

We saw so many beautiful birds in the garden, and the views were breathtaking. The people were wonderful, and breakfast was delicious. They helped us get a scooter within 15 minutes and also offered laundry service. The internet wasn't always reliable, but it didn't bother us. We'd definitely recommend staying here if a steady connection isn't important to you.

The view and location are great, and staff will help if you ask. They also carried our luggage to the rooms and up the hill to the van. Breakfast was decent, with small changes each day. There’s no food or grocery delivery, and AC and bug nets are missing. It gets very warm, and you have to keep the windows shut to avoid bugs. Tuk-tuks from the hotel cost a lot, around 5000-12000, and are hard to find on the apps. The laundry cost 600 LKR per kg. We were told our clothes weighed 5 kg, but charged for 10. I don't think we even had 5 kg, as it was only two small bags. The price was higher than Western rates, and the washing was poor: no fabric softener or ironing, and the clothes came back wrinkled and with no smell.

The people here are so kind and helpful. They can arrange transport or get a tuk-tuk for you, and serve huge breakfasts, probably the biggest I've had in Sri Lanka. The food was really tasty too. Add the perfect view, and for me this is the perfect place in Ella.

The family room had a balcony and magnificent mountain views. The Ella Rock trail runs nearby, and the place is well situated, away from the busy town but still within walking distance. Breakfast was excellent, and staff provided good service in general.
