Morning Dew Hotel

We spent a few lovely days here, with a fantastic view over the hills around Ella from our balcony. The bedroom had everything we needed, and relaxing in the rooftop infinity pool was great. Service was attentive and fantastic. The hotel is near Ella centre, although the road up is steep. There’s a shuttle down the hill, but it only runs until 6pm. Tuk Tuks are easy to find after that.

Pramoth, the on-duty manager, greeted us warmly and was helpful from the start. The lush hills and misty mountains give the hotel gorgeous views of Sri Lanka’s hill country, and the atmosphere is lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable, and service was top notch. We also liked the rooftop and communal areas for relaxing after exploring Ella. The shuttle only runs until 18:00, so there’s no hotel ride back up the hill if you’re out later. A tuk-tuk is always available for the steep trip, though, and that worked fine for us. We had a fantastic, memorable stay and highly recommend it.

The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Dinesh Rahulan Lahiru and Tharindu. Our driver, Shantha, was excellent.

The restaurant here was one of the best we tried in Sri Lanka, and the staff were wonderful, especially Sanjaya, Gihan and Raj. The hotel sits high on a mountain with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and a waterfall. Our room was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed.
