Nat City

The friendly staff, good breakfast, and location were the only things I liked. We’d booked a deluxe room with two king beds, but were put in a small basement room. They moved us the next day after we complained, but the replacement room also had mold on the walls. The rooms were dated and dirty, the bathroom sink didn’t work, and there was no soap. The toilet paper they gave us was damp and had been rolled back up, and we got only two towels for four people.

Our group of 20 needed to switch accommodation at the last minute, and manager Dhanush had us checked in within half an hour. The rooms were spacious and clean, with lovely views, and the service was friendly. Thanks to everyone at Nat City for handling it so well, and especially to Dhanush for his great attitude and service.

Ashok, the manager, is a very humble person. We got a great price and amazing views from the room balcony. One of the best hotels in ELLA, Sri Lanka. 10/10.

We booked at the last minute when we reached the place, and they took payment before letting us see the room. It was filthy, with all sorts of stains and rust on the fixtures. Mold stained the curtains and walls, the toilet ran all night, and a standing fan sat unplugged in the middle of the room with nowhere to plug it in. Even worse, turning off the light also cut power to the charging point. The Wi-Fi worked for about five minutes, then kept saying there was no internet. Staff said a door that looked like it led to a balcony wasn’t a balcony, but we could hear people outside all night. I think staff quarters were nearby, with doors banging and people shouting. They only brought one towel, soap, and toilet paper after we asked. Horrible place, don’t make the mistake of staying here.
