Ornateview Hotel

I loved how calm and scenic the setting was, with mountains and greenery all around. The hotel felt secure, and the rooms and shared spaces were clean, comfortable, and well kept. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, and the friendly staff were always ready to help. For what I paid, the service and setting made it feel like good value. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Ella.

We left by 8 in the morning, unable to brush our teeth, and paid for the night despite having booked breakfast too. We never got that breakfast. The elderly staff member brushed off our complaints and basically said we could stay or leave. We’d booked two nights, but had a miserable time from the start. Our first room looked promising for the view, but its shower was broken, so we were sent to a bathroom 50 meters away. After asking to move, we found a pair of dirty shorts under the bedsheets in the next room. As newlyweds, we found that really upsetting. The next morning the bathroom had no water for nearly an hour, and my wife had to bring a bottle up from downstairs. The bedsheets were dirty, the fan didn’t work, the electrical plugs were damaged and unusable, and both doors were in poor shape. There was no basic hygiene, working equipment, or decent service. I strongly advise against staying here.

The balcony is broken and feels unsafe. The bathrooms and toilets can’t be used, there’s no hot water, and the rooms and beds are dirty. It looks like they reuse bedsheets for several customers without washing them. The older man there seems helpless, and it feels like they’re just collecting money without intending to serve guests.

Awful stay. The room was filthy and crawling with flies, and there was no hot water. Don’t go there. 😩🤮🤮🤢
