The people here made this stay memorable. The staff were attentive, kind, and sincerely welcoming, and made us feel as though we were at a 5-star resort. It’s that kind of care that makes a holiday stick with you. The facilities were excellent too: comfortable beds with mosquito nets, lovely views, and delicious breakfast each morning. It’s a little outside the city, but they provide what you need. You can even buy ingredients and have meals cooked fresh for you. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!

Sampath made our stay at Royal Mount Hotel feel more like being cared for by a friend than hosted at a hotel. He kept checking in, helped with anything we needed, and did it all with real warmth. Those little touches made the whole experience. From arrival, everything felt easy and well looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with the peaceful feel you hope for when booking somewhere. I’d absolutely recommend Royal Mount Hotel for a relaxing, welcoming getaway.

The owner can arrange a tuk-tuk into town and back for 800LKR. We stayed two nights and loved it. The views were exceptional, breakfast was outstanding, and the service was excellent. They handled gluten-free food well. Definitely recommended.

The dining and rest area was the highlight for me. You can sit there with a peaceful view of the hills and watch the train go by. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. When I asked for a fan, they sorted it out right away, and you could tell they cared about our comfort. The room was incredibly clean, with such a shiny floor it looked untouched. We were welcomed with coffee, biscuits, and a banana, and breakfast was served in the morning too. It’s a cool cottage high up on the mountain. The road is very narrow and winding, but that’s part of the adventure. I’d recommend it for a quiet, scenic stay with great service.

So quiet and comfortable, I slept better here than anywhere else on our Sri Lanka trip. The owner was kind, and breakfast was amazing.
