The views over Ella from this lovely hotel in the hills are spectacular. The staff did all they could to make our stay wonderful. We also enjoyed the beautiful walk down the railway line into Ella. The new rooftop restaurant looked fab, and I would have loved to stay for its opening night. I'd thoroughly recommend the hotel.

The walk to town along the train line takes about 20 minutes. We stayed two nights at Shining Green and were very happy with it. They've recently opened an extension with a bar and a place to relax, plus a free pool table and other entertainment. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the laundry service came in handy.

With three kids, the setup worked perfectly for our family of five. The staff really make the place: they're welcoming and friendly, and nothing seems too big an ask. The views, location, breakfast, staff, and other guests were all honestly great. Breakfast was among the best we've had in SL, and there's also a good restaurant upstairs. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

The rooms and the view were beautiful, and it felt very luxurious. The food was good and the service amazing. Kalindu helped us plan our whole day, and the hotel's tuk tuk drivers took us everywhere. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful one-day stay. The room was comfortable, the food was delicious 😋, and the friendly staff made me feel at home. I especially liked the natural, unique feel of the rooms built into the mountain 🌱. Highly recommend! ✨
