The garden and room have so many little ornaments and thoughtful details that the place feels like home, in a way a standard hotel room couldn’t. We stayed three nights and had a fantastic time. The room was spacious and clean, and the owner clearly cares about the property. He even removed the second room so guests could have more space and privacy, leaving the whole place to ourselves. His wife is a wonderful cook and made us great Sri Lankan food every morning and evening. Highly recommend.

It’s a magical little place, tucked into nature with a lovely family of owners and their dogs. My wife and I stayed for a few days and really enjoyed a cooking class with Bola‘s wife. It’s a bit hidden and not really within walking distance of Ella, but the natural setting more than made the stay special.

Our room was so quiet and surrounded by a jungle feel, and Moksha Eco House had everything we needed for a stay near Ella. Bola and his family welcomed us so openly, and they cooked the best rice & curry we had in the country. We also took a cooking class with his wife and loved it. We’re really grateful we met Bola, and hope to see him again soon. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was amazing, and the host was very relaxed. But the place itself was extremely basic, with lots of bugs in the room, and the club across the road stayed incredibly loud all night. It didn’t feel very clean, so we left early.

The family who own the place are lovely, and the view across their land is great. The bed is big and very comfortable, and the shower has good pressure and nice hot water. From the owner’s tip, we took a 10 to 15 minute walk over the hills on a local path to the nine arch bridge, then got a tuktuk taxi back because the uphill walk can be a challenge. We also enjoyed their cooking class. We drove our own tuktuk there, and the final stretch is really steep, though it was manageable for us.
