41 Lighthouse Street

My family and I spent two nights at Villa 41 Lighthouse St in Galle Fort, and the management team gave us excellent service. We were right in the middle of the fort, and management even arranged a wonderful historical tour. Ruwan looked after us from early morning until late at night, making sure we had food and hot or cold drinks. He was so pleasant and eager to help us have the best time. After checkout, they helped me print something and gave me a quiet place to rest. The grand, comfortable home and its facilities were impeccably clean and well maintained, thanks to Ruwan. The pool was clean and refreshing. We'd definitely come back if we return to Sri Lanka.

The best part of our two-night family stay was Ruwan, the housekeeper. He's such a kind, hardworking man, warm and helpful from early morning to late at night. We wish we could give him 10 stars. The villa itself was stunning and right in the heart of Galle Fort, within walking distance of everything. Our rooms were comfy, with hot showers and good pressure; the airy common areas were great for meals together at the dining table and a few games of pool. Having a pool to ourselves after a hot day exploring felt like a luxury. If we return to Galle, we'll absolutely stay again, and I'd recommend it for families or groups.

The standout for us was Ruwan's impeccable care and service. We loved our two days here. When I booked 41 Lighthouse, I expected a wonderful stay, but it was even better than I'd imagined. The property is stunning, and having a pool inside the Fort makes it one of the few villas with that feature.

The villa had plenty of shared space and things to do, including a billiard table, and having the pool to ourselves was a nice bonus. Our room was cozy and had the basics covered, towels and shampoo included. The staff were welcoming and happy to help with our requests. A couple of drawbacks: there’s no car park, so we had to leave the car on the road, though we found a spot right by the entrance. Some washrooms also didn’t have hand bidets. I had a great stay at 41 Lighthouse Street Villa and would definitely come back.
