The food was decent, but boring, and the whole meal fell far below expectations. We waited nearly an hour for a quesadilla and chicken breast even though the restaurant was empty. The place is very overpriced, and who serves a main dish without any greens or salad?

The hosts were very helpful, and the Dutch colonial guest house is lovely. It's a perfect base for walking around the old town. The rooftop restaurant and bar are excellent.

A small, family-run boutique guest house in a great location. They made us feel so welcome, and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We'd stay here again.

The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious, and having it on the terrace with a sea view was a treat. Our room was simple but spotless, with a large bed and mosquito net, some space to store clothes, and a safe. The guesthouse is conveniently located inside the fort, close to shops and other amenities. The staff were welcoming and attentive to our requests. After we missed our train, they kindly kept our luggage until the afternoon.
