The place is old and shabby, but the owner is kind and helpful, and clearly tries hard. He sorts out problems and does his best to meet requests.

The villa felt peaceful, with lovely jungle views, even though it was only a quick walk from the beach and close to the shops, bars, and restaurants on the main road. The hosts were so welcoming and kind. I enjoyed my stay enough to add another night.

It can be a little tricky to locate, since the alley has several other hotels, so watch for the signs. Once there, I found it cozy, with good shower pressure and hot water. The owner was friendly and always available when I needed something.

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and the monkeys in the evening were awesome. We love you! If you’re in Unawatuna, definitely stay here. Best place ever!

The host was cheerful and really attentive. This homestay is close to the beach and tucked among trees, making it a good spot for a short stay. Our room had what we needed and was a fine size, though I think we got the less attractive one.
