The rooftop at Kalan Villa was a great spot to relax, sing, or have a small get-together, though remember the villa closes at 10 PM. We felt safe, and the owner kept cool and room-temperature drinking water available without limits. He was also warm and full of useful suggestions for seeing Galle, and brought us morning tea. We were there with friends and booked two rooms. Both were very quiet and exceptionally clean. Each bed had a power outlet for charging phones, and the big mirror was a nice extra. It was a pleasant stay.

The owner offers thoughtful service, including security and taxi help. The place was clean, good value, and only a two-minute walk from Galle's main road. You can reach town on foot in about ten minutes.

Super calm surroundings, with supermarkets and Galle Fort only a few minutes away by car. Fresh fish is available nearby too. It's a comfortable place, and the owner does his best to help with whatever you need, including food and transport.
