That stretch of beach right outside the resort is beautiful, wild, and wide open, though the currents and waves mean swimming there isn’t recommended. About a 20-minute walk to the right along the beach takes you to a calmer place where swimming is possible. We also saw baboons, lizards, and lots of very cute chipmunks, which made the setting feel even closer to nature. I spent seven days at Soul Resort with a retreat group and found the stay pleasant and nourishing. The resort was very clean throughout, though parts of the property show wear and could use some TLC. The rooms are spacious, and I had a lovely sea-view room on an upper floor. The pool area is beautiful, and the treatments were good quality. The programme had daily treatments, a set meal plan, and massages tailored to it. Food and juices were freshly made, nourishing, and thoughtfully planned. As is usual at a traditional Ayurvedic resort, the programme started with a consultation with the resident doctor. I would have preferred a more in-depth consultation. We were told this was the first shorter wellness programme, under two weeks, offered without the usual homeopathic accompaniment, which gave me some context. Azul (GM) was a real highlight: attentive, present, accommodating, and focused on finding solutions.

We made it home from Europe feeling healthier, refreshed, and full of positive energy, even though the flight back was challenging. The resort’s atmosphere, personalized guidance, and treatments made the stay feel genuinely healing. The doctors and staff were professional, kind, and attentive, and we felt welcome and cared for throughout. The Ayurvedic treatments were life-changing for us. We hope to return someday and can’t recommend the resort highly enough. What an amazing team and experience!

The sea-facing two-acre property feels almost like it has a private beach, and the resort has such a positive feel. It was a peaceful, soulful setting for our art retreat. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We ate healthy food that was also extremely tasty, and the service was excellent. A lovely option for a quick break or a thoughtfully planned wellness holiday.
