Josan Villa

The owner and staff were so kind and helpful, and the dinners were honestly among the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Right on the beach, the place has spacious, clean rooms with wonderful ocean views and the sound of the waves. Highly recommended!

The host, Mr. John Walton, has a huge heart and made us feel at home. Josan Villa is full of personal touches and feels made with care. We loved our two nights there and would happily return on another SriLanka trip. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I can’t think of any cons. The room was fully air conditioned, with LED lighting and direct beach access. It had a hair dryer, kettle for heating water, and mini fridge. They also provide beach towels, though bring a universal power socket. The suite was spacious, as was the bathroom, and the balcony had a splendid view. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with generous portions. Staff were courteous and friendly. There’s a private beach, a turtle hatchery nearby, and easy access to places like an ATM, Tuk tuk, and shops since the villa is on the main road. 5/5.

I remember John, his staff, and Josan hotel very fondly from my time in Sri Lanka. The place is modern, comfortable, friendly, and quiet, right by a huge beach with very few people. It’s great for walks, sunbathing, or even swimming if you’re careful. The staff were always smiling and ready to help with anything I wanted. The rooms are comfortable and there’s free Wi-Fi, which made the stay convenient. Josan Villa is right on the Sri Lankan coast, with direct access to pristine sand and the calming sound of the ocean. From arrival, the sweeping sea views are striking and really suit the villa’s name.
