'Muthu View' Resort

The view was the one good part of my stay at Muthu View Resort, Haputale. The room cost Rs. 4500/=, though to me it was basically worth Rs. 2500/=, with a TV seeming to be the only reason for the higher price. The rest of the place fell far short of what I expected, and the pricing felt unfair and misleading. Definitely not worth the money.

One of the best parts of our Sri Lanka trip was spending time with our tuk-tuk driver in Haputale, Ikka. He drove safely and reliably, and was kind, helpful, and full of local knowledge. His generosity made it especially memorable: he invited us to a family celebration, where we were welcomed like old friends. Sharing a meal and time with his loved ones gave us a lovely glimpse of Sri Lankan hospitality that we won’t forget. We were eight people in two rooms and couldn’t believe the view we got for such a budget-friendly price. The resort was beautiful and well maintained, and our room was clean and comfortable. It was conveniently placed for Adisham, Haputale Town, and the Railway Station. The owner welcomed us warmly and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. Having an in-house chef was a great bonus. Highly recommended.

Waking up to misty mountains and ending the day with home-cooked warmth made the stay feel like a gentle hug from nature. Muthu View Resort is tucked into the hills of Haputale, with breathtaking views, a peaceful atmosphere, and heartfelt hospitality. A beautiful, soothing escape if you’re looking for serenity.
