The balcony view in the morning was amazing, and the two double beds had good, firm mattresses. Still, I wish we’d avoided this place. We arrived late and didn’t want to look for somewhere else, so we stayed one night. The room was cold, with very old furniture, stains and holes in the bed linen, and a mouldy ceiling. The hot water pressure in the shower was low, which made the cold room even less comfortable. This place offers only the most basic comfort. The owners should renovate the rooms to bring them up to a normal standard.

You can enjoy nice scenery, including Fox Hill, from your room. This family-run hotel offers good service, clean rooms, and delicious food. The rates are reasonable, and I can recommend it for a holiday in the Haputale area.

We last visited in Dec 2021 and stayed in the family room, which worked well with our 2 year old. Mr. Maalinda and his family were very accommodating and helpful, and treated us as if we were part of their family. Thanks for all the support. We had a traditional breakfast, and the food was excellent. The place is purpose built and reasonably priced. The wooden interior felt nice in the cold, since you’re practically in the clouds. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Bathrooms have instant water heaters but no Geyser, so you have to manage and improvise if you don’t want to touch cold water. If you’re looking for a Safe place, this is one of those places. It’s in a great spot on Haputale-Temple Road, the road to Adisham. There’s easy-access parking for three vehicles inside the premises. If you’re coming from Beragala, turn left at Haputale junction. It’s close to many attractions, with a few within walking distance. We had a wonderful Western view. The family place was especially warm and supportive with our child.

The railway viewing point gives you a helicopter view, and the place is very close to Haputhale town, so Haputhale Railway Station is easy to reach. There are nice viewpoints around the property and plenty of nearby activities, including Adisham Bungalow. A good spot for couples wanting a holiday. The newly built rooms have attached bathrooms and fully equipped hot water showers. Double and family rooms are available at budgetable prices. Staff were kind and very helpful throughout our stay. Before checking in, it’s better to call and ask about your favorites.
