After a few days riding through the hill country, this turned out to be a solid place to stay. The guesthouse is peaceful, with no road noise, and it's an easy walk into town for food or small purchases. It's fairly new and everything felt fresh and well cared for. Our big, clean room had a comfortable bed that was just right after long hours on the bike. The balcony was the best part, with almost 270-degree views of mountains and tea plantations. We also enjoyed the large shared lounge and its comfortable sofas, a nice place to relax or meet other travelers. One small thing I missed was a kettle in the common area for tea or coffee. I could have asked the owner, but didn't want to bother. If you're arriving by bike or car, Google Maps may send you up a staircase. Better to enter the road from the Railway Station side. A good, quiet base for exploring the area.

We've been traveling for six weeks, and this is easily the best place we've stayed so far. The owner is wonderful, the service is great, and the new rooms, completed after the pandemic, are really nice. The toilet is great and has hot water, and there's a lovely mountain view from the balcony. It's well located, very affordable, and a good base for a few days exploring the mountains and enjoying the local area. I don't want to leave. We'll definitely be back next year.

The manager was personable and very helpful, and clearly well suited to the job. We really enjoyed our stay at the White House Bungalow. The balcony has a lovely view, and you can reach the Pekoe Trail with a 20-minute walk.

We booked three rooms, and every one had a lovely view of the tea-covered mountains and village. The rooms were spacious, very clean and regularly maintained. There were roomy common areas on every floor, plus a kitchen with all the basics, including a refrigerator and microwave. Prices were very reasonable. The caretaker gave us exceptional service, and the friendly manager also made sure we were well looked after. This is one of the best places to stay in Hatton. Highly recommend it to everyone.

We stayed for one day and found this one of the best places to stay in Hatton. The price was very affordable, and the rooms and washrooms were exceptionally clean, just as shown in the pictures. The facilities went beyond what I expected. The owners were wonderful and the service superb. There's an amazing balcony view, clean washrooms with hot water, and secure parking for vehicles. I highly recommend White House Bungalow. We'll definitely be back.
