Gihán was so welcoming and attentive, and made us lovely breakfasts with eggs, fruit, and very good Sri Lankan dark coffee. The garden and pool are peaceful, beautiful places to spend time. We had a wonderful three-day stay at Moments hotel. It’s on the main road along the beach, with Hikkadwua’s restaurants, shops, and bars just a couple of minutes away. Some of the area’s most peaceful, beautiful beaches are close too. We strongly recommend it.

Gayani keeps the place spotless, and her garden is beautiful, with all kinds of birds to watch. There’s a washing machine you can use whenever you like, plus cold A/C, hot water, and a full kitchen for cooking. The bed is large and comfortable, with a mosquito net. It’s tucked off the main road, though the beach is only 100 meters away. Shops and restaurants on the main road are a short walk.

There are train tracks across the street, though trains don’t come often, and they didn’t bother us. The owner is very friendly and speaks good English. Everything was clean, and security cameras outside helped us feel that our belongings were safe. A great little hotel.

The train tracks are nearby, but closing the windows kept that from being a problem for us. The hotel is very new and super clean, with a good breakfast. It’s close to the beach and there are plenty of restaurants right around it.

The railway is only 20 meters away, which is the downside. Otherwise, these are cozy, clean apartments with air conditioning, polite hosts, and well-kept grounds, close to Hikkaduwa’s tourist area.
