DORMERO Hotel Sri Lanka Hikkaduwa Beach

Waking up to the waves and those incredible ocean views from my room was magic. I had a private beachside balcony, and Kiki the dog was the sweetest bonus, she won me over the moment we met. My room was the best I’ve ever stayed in, comfortable and spotless. The décor and artwork are gorgeous, and the whole space feels carefully put together without trying too hard. The restaurant setting is beautiful, the food was delicious, and breakfast was outstanding. I honestly couldn’t fault a thing. The staff are the heart of this place. Franzi, Sanuka, Hashini, and the whole team took such good care of me. Special thanks to Savinda for the wonderful service and that lovely smile. Everyone was warm, kind, and professional. This is a stunning, stylish boutique hotel right on the beach in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. The whole experience blew me away, and I can’t wait to return next year to my favourite hotel in Hikkaduwa. The ocean view was a highlight of our week, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets right from the room. The location was also ideal, close to all the main attractions, and the food was delicious and nicely presented. Kiki helped make the place feel like home. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Franziska, the hotel manager, deserves a special thank you for going out of her way to meet all our requests. Every detail, from the room to the service, felt carefully considered. We had an exceptional week, the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely return.

The hotel manager was the nicest I’ve ever met. She was always smiling, happy to help, and did everything she could to give great service. I spent two nights at Dormero Hotel and loved the room, especially the huge balcony and direct ocean view. The location was convenient too. Breakfast was gourmet and delicious. Five stars across the board, the best place to stay on the south coast.

This was the best stay of our whole trip around Sri Lanka. We had to cancel our first hotel because of serious hygiene problems, and were lucky to find an available room at Dormero Hotel. Franziska, the hotel manager, was easy to reach on WhatsApp and so warm and welcoming. She’s a very cool German surfer, and her dog Kiki came along too. We even got a free room upgrade for our honeymoon. The whole team looked after us from our early arrival, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Big thanks again to Sanuka. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a unique balcony over the sea. The hotel meets high standards, and breakfast was world-class, with freshly squeezed juice and more food than we could finish. The pool was wonderfully refreshing, with a direct ocean view. There wasn’t a single downside for us. The value for money was outstanding, and we’d definitely come back. Thank you so much ♥️
