For a small price, I got a very basic, somewhat dated room, which is why I gave it three stars. It was also a bit farther from the main strip than I wanted. I only stayed one night, and the place is a short walk from the main street. It's quiet, with lots of greenery that gives it a jungle feel, but that also means a lot of mosquitoes in and around the rooms. I got rid of at least seven when I arrived. There's a fan and AC, so it should be possible to keep them out after that first encounter. The bed has a net, and there was a mosquito liquid vaporizer too. The room isn't small, but the fabrics felt a little damp from the high humidity. That's been true of every budget place I've stayed in this region.

There were birds chirping and monkeys playing in the trees around this lovely property. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and even gave me a free ride to the train station when I checked out. My fairly large room had a fridge, Wi-Fi and a hot shower. The AC was making a bit of noise, but they fixed it within 24 hours. The bathroom and kitchen area could have been cleaner. Still, it was a pleasant stay and I'd recommend it.

The hostess was a really nice woman, but the sheets had stains and old toiletries, including razors from previous guests, had been left behind. It just didn't feel clean.

The setting was nice, and the room had more facilities than I expected for the price. But the road to the guest house was narrow, and the older woman there was on her own, so I couldn't get help from her. There was no water bottle or breakfast option either.
