New sea lion guest house

The guest house is right across the main street from the surfing beach, with food huts and supermarkets nearby. My family stayed at New SeaLion Guest House Hikkaduwa for three days and had a comfortable time. The staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms are among the cheapest, with a shared kitchen that makes it feel like home. Service was excellent. Highly recommended, and we'll come again. Thanks!

We stayed in the apartment for a month with our family and had a fantastic time. The place was functional and quiet despite being near the road. It was clean, well located, and the service was good. After traveling two hours to Hikkaduwa and taking a tuktuk to the property, we found the room didn't have the sea view we had booked. The owner, his wife, and son said their booking agent had advertised it that way. We asked for a discount since the room wasn't what we'd reserved, but they refused and told us, “you won’t find a cheaper place to book in this area, just go!” We left and found a cheap place with a sea view. While booking it on the street, we heard shouting and things being thrown inside their home.

There was no water until 10 pm, and even after that the pressure was too low. They had forgotten to turn on the water supply. When we called, the owner's wife told us to speak to another boy and acted as if the problem was our fault.
