Kind & Love Guest House

Staying here felt like coming home. The father and family were so friendly and helpful, and the mix of guests was lovely, including elderly German ladies and backpackers from all over the world. I didn’t see the dorm room, but the single room was great: a big bed, two ventilators, international AC power, and a lockable box. I’d highly recommend this house.

Rooms were clean and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. It’s close to the beach and great value for money. Nights were a little loud; I’m not sure what was going on, but my room was near the entrance, so that may have been why.

The food is terrific and great value, and they make an effort to keep it as clean as possible with organic fruit and veg. The host and family have been exceptional these past few days. They’re kind, honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely want to help. I’m still staying here, but wanted to share how much I appreciate them. The beach is just a five-minute walk away, and the host can arrange Tuktuks at a fair price.

We spent two nights here and the family were so lovely and generous. They shared traditional Sri Lankan sweets, offered lots of advice, and gave me aloe Vera for my sunburn. We had booked a dorm but stayed in a private room instead because another backpacker needed a place. It was very hot at night, even with two fans. The owner also told us the hostel was the first on the street back in the 70s, which my friend and I thought was pretty cool.
