Villa Vidisa

The homemade food was delicious and refreshing, and it added a lot to how comfortable our stay felt. We came as a group and had a holiday full of fun and time to relax. The staff and owners were incredibly kind and helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. A memorable getaway with friends, and we’d happily recommend this place.

We loved how quiet it was at Villa Vidisa, with birdsong around the property, even though the beach is only a short walk away. The owners, who also work as archaeologists, were very friendly. Our room was nicely designed and the AC worked well. Breakfast was lovely, and dinner was just as good, especially the curry and rice. We also took a day trip by tuk tuk and got to see much more than we would have on our own. We’d definitely come back.

We spent three nights here and left feeling rested, while also having a chance to connect with guests from all over the world. The villa is tucked away from the busy city and street, yet the main road with its shops and restaurants is only a few minutes on foot. Our room was spotless, had AC, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, with almost everything homemade or homegrown. The owner made sure everyone felt welcome and had what they needed, and the staff were so kind and friendly it felt like home. We’ll definitely come back.

The French owner, Didier, has such an amazing personality. He even gave us a few starter French lessons, and we left wanting to brush up on our basic French. The family run business has a lovely feel, and all the staff were kind. We had a seafood dinner one evening and swam in the pool each morning, so there was no hurry to head to the beach. It was such a relaxing stay that we went away feeling like we’d left family.
