Vista Rooms Induruwa Beach

The private beach was the resort's main draw, and the breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. Plenty of foreigners enjoyed their meals, and the resort arranged evening bonfires for everyone since it gets windy and cold later in the day. The seaside setting is quite humid. Rooms were nice, but staff service and cleanliness fell short and need improvement. Even so, we had a good experience overall.

The place felt deserted and creepy, and when we checked in around lunchtime it seemed like there was nobody else there. The reception staff knew very little English. We were told lunch wasn't available, which wasn't surprising when we seemed to be the only guests. Later we spoke with a few other visitors who shared our doubts about whether it was safe to stay. Fortunately, we checked out safely the next morning. I wouldn't recommend it, and it's too bad travel agents book places like this, taking advantage of tourists unfamiliar with the area. There are some good features: a vast property, lovely view, spacious room and balcony, and the beach just steps away. The breakfast buffet was decent with a good selection.

We had a great view from our room, and it was a lovely beachside hotel with the beach open to residents. The live band at dinner added to the experience, and the food was excellent. A few things could be better: the pool water didn't look very clear while swimming, the floor cleaner left a sticky feeling underfoot, and the shower cubicle leaked when running. The bathroom drainage also wasn't very good.

The ocean view is very pleasant, but I wouldn't choose this place for the food. There was no Indian food, and the staff didn't understand the difference between vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We ordered a veg salad and they served it with chicken sausage, saying it was vegetarian. There was no housekeeping or room service until 8 am.
